Definitely agreed on that point Kerry. You’re right about balance, and family, and I live my life that way. That being said when it was necessary in my career (like at the commencement of the start of a new real estate career) I think it takes a little bit less balance and a little bit more ‘crazy insane activity’ to get the momentum kickstarted.

It doesn’t matter what your job, career or business is, this book will help you get on track. It’s good to read a book that has someone’s examples and show how they went from just starting out, to being the success they are today. In saying that, you have to apply what is suggested rather than think it will happen from just thinking about it.

The only thing missing was showing that there can be a balance between work and pleasure. I am sure there are plenty of people who find that their family can be just as inportant.

A good book to get on track with, and also to read every now and then when you feel things are slipping a little.

What a great starter book - whether in real estate or not it will discipline you and generate positive vibes to make you successful.

My first comment and observation is that John very early in his life, read a book that I pinched from my Dad very early in my life, being

‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill. (click to read my review).

and he also shared my reservations on whether such a book has any value to ME (or him as the case may be).

And now that he has read hundreds of books on the subject of success, business, real estate and wealth, and has APPLIED that knowledge in creating his brilliant real estate business, I am excited about reading the rest of this book. Remember, in his words, SUCCESS LEAVES CLUES. Look for the clues in this book and others and adjust your life accordingly. I will be heeding this advice myself more often.

I also like the bits on Enthusiasm, beliefs and positive thinking, but I don’t want to hog the discussion.

A well spent 45 minutes reading through Part 1 though.
